Job Opportunity: Superintendent – Commercial/Industrial Construction

Location: Oregon/Washington
Position Type: Full-time, Contract-to-Permanent
Compensation: $95,000 - $115,000+ (DOE)
Start Date: Estimated 2-4 weeks

Position Overview:

Great Basin Staffing is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage long-term commercial and industrial projects in the Oregon/Washington region. This role involves overseeing union/prevailing wage projects , ensuring timelines, schedules, and manpower are effectively managed. We are looking for a hands-on leader with a strong background in carpentry and framing who understands ground-up construction from start to finish.

This position has the potential to transition into a permanent role and offers competitive compensation. In-person interviews will be scheduled mid-week with our lead hiring manager on-site to review top candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily construction operations for commercial/industrial projects.
• Coordinate and maintain project timelines, scheduling, and manpower .
• Ensure compliance with union/prevailing wage requirements where applicable.
• Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Supervise framing and carpentry crews, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
• Manage job site safety, inspections, and compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Monitor budgets, materials, and labor to keep projects on track.

Qualifications:

• Must have a background in carpentry and framing before transitioning into a superintendent role.
• Must specialize in carpentry/framing work of large scale projects, building codes, walls, ceilings, etc.
• Extensive experience managing ground-up commercial and industrial construction projects .
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and job sites.
• Proven experience with scheduling, budgeting, and manpower allocation .
• Familiarity with union/prevailing wage project requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand technical construction documents.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
