Job Description

Our sushi restaurant is seeking a friendly and energetic server to join our team. The server will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking orders accurately and efficiently, delivering food and drinks to tables, and ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about sushi and Japanese cuisine, have strong communication skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and provide menus
• Take orders and answer questions about the menu
• Recommend sushi and other menu items based on guests' preferences
• Enter orders into the point-of-sale system accurately
• Prepare drinks, such as sake and beer, and serve them to guests
• Deliver food to tables and ensure all dishes are presented correctly
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any complaints
• Check guests' identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
• Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
• Assist with other duties, such as opening and closing the restaurant, cleaning and organizing the dining area, and restocking supplies
• Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including those related to food safety and sanitation

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server in a sushi restaurant or Japanese cuisine restaurant
• Strong knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in a team
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
