Job Overview:
Same Day Embroidery is looking for a skilled Screen Printer to join our team! As a screen printer, you will be responsible for operating our screen printing equipment, ensuring high-quality prints on apparel and other materials. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, preparing artwork, burning screens, mixing inks, and printing orders with precision. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate screen printing presses for apparel and promotional products
- Prepare screens by coating, exposing, and reclaiming them as needed
- Mix inks to match color specifications accurately
- Align and register prints to ensure consistency and quality
- Inspect printed items for quality control, ensuring proper color, placement, and coverage
- Maintain equipment and work area, keeping them clean and organized
- Follow job orders and production schedules to meet deadlines
- Assist with pre-production tasks such as preparing artwork and film positives
- Perform routine maintenance on printing equipment
- Work with team members to complete large orders efficiently
Requirements:
- Experience in screen printing preferred but willing to train the right candidate
- Familiarity with manual and/or automatic screen printing presses
- Knowledge of different fabrics and ink types (plastisol, water-based, discharge, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment
