Job Description

LaSalle Network is partnering with an industry-leading fintech company located in downtown Chicago that is redefining how individuals and businesses manage their financial lives. As they continue their rapid growth, they are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role where you’ll own accounting operations, help scale processes, and work alongside innovative, forward-thinking professionals.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, GL, payroll, and reconciliations
Maintain compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements
Develop and enhance internal financial reporting and controls
Partner with FP&A, legal, and senior leadership on strategic initiatives
Mentor and grow a high-performing accounting team
Manage audit preparation, tax filings, and external financial reporting
Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives

Accounting Manager Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in management
Experience in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth industries strongly preferred
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks Online, or similar)
Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
