Job Summary:
The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for working collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement effective specialized instruction that meets each individual’s goals contained within the Individual Education Plan and other targeted interventions; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques for learners with disabilities.

Salary:

Pay ranges from $1,890.00 - $2,100.00 per week 

• Full-time M-F, 35 - 40 hours/week.
• Contract signing and completion bonuses are available.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university
• Must possess a valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in the state of California.
• At least one year of self-contained classroom teaching experience with students with a variety of disabilities, including students with behavior disorders and other learning and cognitive delays, is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with students, teachers, and parents.
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
• Ability to write & implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Ability to work cooperatively with support personnel on a daily basis.
• Satisfactory special education teaching experience.
