USA DATA CENTRE RELOCATION - SENIOR COST MANAGER

We are representing an expanding Cost Consultancy headquartered in New York with offices across the US. This organization has achieved remarkable early success due to its strong relationships with leading blue-chip companies. The firm prides itself on its collaborative culture, likened to that of some of the world's leading high-tech clients, whom they work with extensively. The business owners are hands-on and are on a trajectory to become leaders in Cost Management in the USA.
Our client is seeking Senior Cost Managers to join their teams in across North America. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale data centre projects, providing leadership and expertise while being part of a growing organization with significant career advancement potential.
Role Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring all cost management aspects are executed to the highest standard.
Develop and manage Order of Cost Estimates, Cost Plans, Tender Documents, and Contract Documents in line with established protocols.
Lead cost meetings and manage associated administrative tasks.
Communicate with contractors and stakeholders regarding cost reports, planned versus actual costs, changes, and variations, while resolving disputes effectively.
Utilize and maintain platforms to manage and communicate cost-related matters efficiently.
Collaborate with Project Managers during the construction phase to assess provisional sum schedules and CDP schedules, ensuring updates are accurate and shared with all relevant parties.
Conduct detailed monthly assessments, contributing to the preparation and settlement of final accounts.
Manage and review change requests and provide guidance to junior team members.
Produce and present high-quality monthly reports to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in cost management for complex infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
Strong expertise in construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Pre- and post-contract experience.
US citizenship or existing/transferable right to work in the US, or eligibility for an E2 or E3 visa.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
