Job Description:

The Training Supervisor is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that address the unique needs of business units while aligning with the organization’s overall learning strategy. This role requires expertise in multiple training delivery methods—including in-person facilitation, virtual learning, and blended approaches—to ensure effective knowledge transfer and engagement.

Collaboration is key to success in this role, as the Training Supervisor works closely with Business Unit Managers, Instructional Design teams, and other key stakeholders to assess learning needs, develop targeted training plans, and continuously enhance program effectiveness. By leveraging data-driven insights and cross-functional partnerships, the Training Supervisor ensures that learning initiatives drive performance improvement and business success. This position requires travel and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize various training delivery methods for effective facilitation of in-person and virtual classroom training that achieves the learning objectives
  • Consult with Business Unit Managers to determine changes in training delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, e-learning, hands-on workshops)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Instructional Design and Operations, to develop and refine training programs
  • Manage Certified Trainers, provide coaching and feedback on effective facilitation techniques
  • Gather and analyze feedback from managers and employees to assess learning program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and align objectives with organizational strategy
  • Implement and oversee pilot tests for new training programs, evaluating effectiveness before full rollout
  • Monitor and analyze training outcomes, presenting data-driven insights to leadership and recommending enhancements
  • Ensure training initiatives support employee development while maintaining consistency with corporate learning strategies.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Training Technology & Delivery: Experience with e-learning platforms, virtual training tools, and in-person facilitation.
  • Instructional Design: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and experience with various training methodologies.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple training initiatives, track progress, and communicate risks effectively.
  • Small Package Operations Knowledge: Familiarity with operational processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to partner with internal stakeholders and adapt training to meet evolving business needs.
  • Familiarity with The UPS Store Franchise Network and UPS Services (Preferred).
