We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Tax CPA to join a growing firm committed to excellence, integrity, and long-term success. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of their work while helping shape the future of the business. You’ll provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services for individuals and small businesses, manage tax resolution cases—including offers in compromise, installment agreements, and correspondence with tax authorities—and prepare and review individual and business tax returns in full compliance with IRS and state regulations.
This role requires someone who can confidently review and sign off on all tax returns completed by other preparers, ensuring accuracy and full compliance. You'll assist with audits, respond to IRS and state tax notices, and contribute to the growth of the firm by writing and designing standard operating procedures for tax prep workflows, client onboarding, document handling, and more. Training and mentoring tax preparers and admin staff is a key part of this position, along with collaborating with leadership to enhance internal systems and overall client experience. The ideal candidate holds an active CPA license in California (or is eligible for reciprocity), has at least three years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, or public accounting, and is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Drake Software. Strong leadership, communication, and teaching abilities are essential. Prior experience writing SOPs and reviewing the work of others is expected.
