Reporting to the Store Manager, the Levi's Tailor elevates and customizes the consumer experience by providing alterations, repairs, and an outlet to inspire consumers to co-create garment customization. You will be focused on cascading the Tailor Shop experience to the consumer and help create lifetime Levi's fans.
About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement basic alteration services (i.e. Hemming, patch and repair, tapering) and more technical alterations (e.g. Fitting/tailoring items other than jeans, where more technical equipment is necessary; detailed appearance altering processes, embroidery)
- Exemplify and have customer service skills to enhance our clients experience.
- Educate and trains store teams on customer offerings provided by the Tailor Shop.
- Help with responsibilities on the selling floor and fitting room as requested by store management
- Comply with all Levi's® policy and programs.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with denim industry and current/upcoming trends.
- Understanding of textiles and fabrics with skills in sewing, tailoring and textile repair.
- Awareness of design trends
- Enjoy engaging with clients and store team
About You
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 years of sewing/tailoring experience and a knowledge of jeans construction
- Knowledge of machines used in the sewing of denim products.
- While performing the responsibilities of the job you may be asked to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear, use hands to type and use the tools of tailor shop.
- You are occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The expected starting hourly rate for this role in New York City is $19.90/hr. We may ultimately pay more than the posted rate based on the location of the role.

The expected starting wage range for this role in New York is $20.81 - $33.82. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on several factors. The amount a particular employee will earn within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, seniority, store location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs.
