Job Description

Position Summary : Legacy Christian Academy is seeking "as needed" support for our Security Team. The ideal candidate must be a Level III Commissioned Security Officer to provide additional security personnel when needed, ensuring the safety and security of students and staff.

  • Level III Security Officer Certification required. Level IV preferred. Must have a valid Texas driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background and reference check.
  • Highly proficient in the use of handguns
  • Working knowledge of Texas DPS private security board rules and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of DPS PSB Force Continuum.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and operate independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Accuracy, integrity, trustworthiness and professionalism
  • Ability to work under stressful circumstances.
  • Ability to exhibit prompt, reliable and sustainable attendance.
  • Flexibility

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma, Police Academy or Military training preferred. Five to seven years' experience.

Language Ability:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, handbooks, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability:

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate a reasonable level of computer literacy.
