A rapidly expanding property management company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to contribute to our continued growth and success. Responsibilities:

• Perform all aspects of accounting for a designated portfolio of residential properties.
• Execute month-end close procedures, including preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Apply accrual accounting principles to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with operations and other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a role involving accrual accounting, month-end close, and journal entry preparation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
