Job Title: Splunk Observability Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Splunk Observability Engineer to join our Services & Support team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience working with Splunk, focusing on observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make an impact with cutting-edge technology in the fields of IT infrastructure, monitoring, and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Splunk Observability solutions for our clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their infrastructure monitoring needs and provide optimal solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to Splunk Observability and integrations.
  • Develop and implement the best practices for monitoring and alerting using Splunk.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Splunk instances.
  • Work with cross-functional teams for incident management and resolution.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and training to clients as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes and solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

3-5 years of hands-on experience with Splunk Observability and its integration with IT systems.

Strong experience in configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing Splunk solutions.

Familiarity with IT infrastructure monitoring, metrics, logs, and alerting.

Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

Solid understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

Experience with Splunk ITSI, APM, and monitoring solutions.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical Skills

Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk Observability Cloud.

IT infrastructure monitoring and management.

Experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools.

Scripting/Automation: Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP.

Container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Incident management and troubleshooting tools.

Experience with security monitoring and logging.

Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
