Beefbar is an upscale fine dining establishment renowned for its exquisite cuisine and superior customer service. We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Chief Sommelier to elevate our dining experience by helping curate an exceptional wine program and providing expert wine service to our guests.
Job Description
Responsibilities
• Curate and manage an extensive and diverse wine list, ensuring optimal selections that align with our menu.
• Provide personalized wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and the dishes they order.
• Oversee the wine inventory, including ordering, stock control, and proper storage to maintain wine quality.
• Train and educate the service staff on wine pairings, tasting notes, and proper wine service techniques and SOPs.
• Organize and host wine tastings, pairing dinners, and other wine-related events to engage guests and promote our wine program.
• Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations regarding the responsible service of alcohol.
•Michelin or high-volume experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively.
• Passionate about wine and dedicated to continual learning and growth in the field.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle wine bottles and glasses safely.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($25.00 - $35.00) plus tips
