Cal/OSHA is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer (Industrial) (SSE) to join the team at the Cal/OSHA Calibration and Inventory Control Lab (CALICO).
Under the direction of the Principal Safety Engineer (Industrial) of the Research and Standards Health Unit, the SSE in a laboratory setting serves as a technical lead for the DOSH program and the CALICO Laboratory Unit, and is responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures for selecting, maintaining, and using scientific measurement and personal protective equipment (hereafter referred to as “equipment”) applicable to the safety and health orders of DOSH; and selecting and using third-party analytical laboratory, engineering testing, and technical reference services (hereafter referred to as “services”).
