Role Mission

As our Senior Full Stack Developer, you will drive technical excellence at Leapcure by providing leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance that empowers our engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions. You'll partner with product leadership to translate business requirements into technical implementations while fostering a culture of documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

  • Technical Leadership & Quality
    • Lead architecture decisions and establish best practices that result in a measurable reduction in technical debt
    • Resolve critical technical blockers to platform growth
    • Implement comprehensive technical documentation standards that achieve high adoption across the engineering team
    • Partner with product to translate business requirements into technical specifications with clarity and efficiency
  • Team Development & Mentorship
    • Establish mentoring relationships with junior developers, resulting in measurable skill improvement
    • Coach non-technical team members in technical areas to support their growth toward product ownership
    • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Independence
    • Build AWS expertise across the team, reducing dependency on DevOps contractors
    • Lead the implementation of new cloud-based services (DynamoDB, Lambda) without requiring DevOps support
    • Establish processes for managing cloud infrastructure that are documented and followed by the entire team
  • Product & Innovation
    • Collaborate with prompt engineering org to integrate successful AI solutions into the core product
    • Develop and implement an API strategy that enhances Leapcure's integration capabilities
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and evaluate their potential impact on our product

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • 5+ years of full stack development experience
  • Strong experience with Ruby on Rails and React (or similar frameworks)
  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Proven track record leading technical initiatives and mentoring junior developers
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control (Git)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies or integrations
  • Background in healthcare or clinical research technology
  • Experience with security and compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Background in UX/UI considerations
  • Experience working in startup environments
