Tech (Radiology), Full Time, Benefited, Days, 8hours, 1.0fteFeatured Job + San Leandro, CA + San Leandro Hospital + SLH Radiology Diagnostic + Full Time - Day + Allied Health + $54.22 - $71.25 / Hour + Req #:40679-30032 + FTE:1 + Posted:July 11, 2025 **Summary** **SUMMARY** : Under close supervision, the Radiologic Technologist (Multiple Modality) performs a variety of duties in the Department of Radiology/ Imaging Services of Alameda Health System related to general Radiography/Fluoroscopy. Performs various diagnostic imaging examinations of patients as directed for diagnostic and treatment purposes according to established procedures. Perform s related duties as required. **DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** : NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification. 1. Assists Physician in administering opaque media (contrast) 2. Rotates assignments within the department by assigned shifts as required to meet departmental needs 3. Processes Images as appropriate for Modality (CR/DR/Film) and is proficient in utilizing the PACS system (Picture Archival Communications) 4. Maintains adequate records of examinations/dose/contrast as directed, and appropriately utilizing two patient identifier with each patient exam 5. Assists with movement of patients (rooming/transport) 6. Assists in the development/optimization of technical factors for radiographic procedures 7. May assist in equipment or procedures not routinely taught in school 8. May assist in the training of students 9. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with designate areas or procedures as required 10. Performs all general diagnostic and routine fluoroscopic duties as determined by employer. 11. Practices sterile techniques and prevents cross contamination 12. Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of environment and supplies 13. Ensure utilization of non-expired supplies by checking stock regularly and using "first in first out" rule of re stocking 14. Produces Radiographs, positions and transfers patients, and provides immobilization devices as necessary to obtain images 15. Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards. 16. Ensure utilizing techniques that promote ALARA on an individual patient basis (As Low as Reasonably Achieved) for radiation exposure 17. Selects and operates all imaging equipment as directed and licensed to perform. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** : + Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. + **Required Education** : High school Diploma or equivalent, Graduation from an Accredited School of Radiologic Technology, or military equivalent. + **Preferred Education** : Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree + **Required Experience** : Proficient in a minimum of two Modalities. Modalities may include: Xray and Fluoroscopy, All must have this plus one additional modality: NOTE: for CT/MRI Internal promotion must have required below prior to promotion, External hire, must obtain within 6 months for CT/MRI), CT (Computed Tomography)- ARRT (CT) Required, Venipuncture Certificate Required, Mammography CRT (M) Required, MRI- ARRT (MRI) Required. + **Required Licenses/Certifications** : Valid certificate as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the State of California Department of Public Health + **Required Licenses/Certifications** : Valid ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification, and other ARRT certifications as it relates to each modality where appropriate + **Required Licenses/Certifications** : Valid Fluoroscopy Permit issued by the State of California + **Required Licenses/Certifications** : BLS - Basic Life Support Certification - issued by AHA-American Heart Association. **Pay Range** : $54.22 - $71.25 / Hour _The pay range for this position reflects the base pay scale for the role at Alameda Health System. Final compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, departmental equity, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and the operational needs of the organization. Alameda Health System also offers eligible positions a generous comprehensive benefits program._ **Additional Information** Note: Fill opens vacated positions. 11:30am- 8:00pm Every 3rd weekend. CT /Xray Technologist with Fluoroscopy certifications required. Covering CT, Sray, and C-arm OR cases.
