Position Overview
We're looking for a talented Salesforce Release Manager to join our team and support Salesforce projects within a federal government environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in release management, collaborating with Scrum teams, and ensuring smooth, timely deployments. In this role, you will coordinate the full release management lifecycle, overseeing all aspects of release scheduling, integration, and compliance in a fast-paced government setting.
Key Responsibilities
Release Management: Lead and manage the entire release lifecycle for the Salesforce platform, including scheduling, coordinating, and executing successful releases.
Collaboration with Scrum Teams: Partner with Scrum teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of release activities, fostering a collaborative environment.
Government Compliance: Use your knowledge of federal government regulations and standards to ensure that all release activities meet compliance requirements.
Change Management: Oversee change management processes to facilitate smooth deployments, including managing changesets and handling dependencies.
Integration Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration and management of dependencies between Salesforce and other systems.
Documentation: Create and maintain thorough documentation for each release, including deployment plans, run books, and release notes.
Communication: Clearly communicate release schedules and details to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the process.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, applying best practices to streamline release management.
Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in release management, with a focus on Salesforce implementations.
Government Experience: Experience managing releases within a federal government environment.
Certifications: Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce administration, DevOps, and release management tools (e.g., Copado or similar tools).
Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Additional Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Advanced Certifications: Additional Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer).
Project Management: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
Integration Experience: Experience with tools like Jenkins CI, Selenium, or other integration platforms.
Clearance: Existing DoD Secret clearance or higher.
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location
This position is based in Charlotte, NC, but we offer remote work flexibility. If you're working remotely, you may occasionally visit an office or client site as needed for specific client requirements.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $132,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and other factors such as contractual requirements. Salary will be finalized based on these considerations.
