We’re seeking a skilled, proactive Safety Manager to take charge of our growing safety program. If you’re experienced in construction safety—especially in electrical environments —and ready to build and enforce programs that truly protect our teams, we want you on board.

At Roman Electric Co., Inc., safety isn’t just a requirement—it’s a core value. We serve residential and commercial clients with a strong presence in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC services. We’re proud to offer industry-leading benefits and a company culture where your expertise will be valued and supported.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement safety policies and site-specific plans
  • Conduct regular jobsite safety audits and risk assessments
  • Lead safety training for new hires and ongoing field education
  • Investigate incidents and manage root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with field staff and management to enforce safe work practices
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and all regulatory standards
  • Monitor safety metrics and champion continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in construction safety (MEP/electrical experience preferred)
  • OSHA 30 required; CHST, CSP, or other certifications a plus
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and NFPA 70E
  • Hands-on experience in the field and with skilled trades personnel
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety software tools
  • Valid driver's license required

Physical Demands:

Walking and Standing

  • Frequent walking and standing for extended periods, often across uneven terrain, in all weather conditions.

Climbing and Balancing

  • Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs, or into/out of trenches and elevated workspaces to inspect electrical installations and work areas.

Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling

  • Regular need to bend, kneel, or crouch to access confined areas or assess low-clearance electrical components.

Lifting and Carrying

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of equipment or materials weighing up to 25–50 lbs (e.g., safety gear, testing devices, documentation binders).

Reaching and Handling

  • Use of hands and arms to operate tools, safety devices, or computers/tablets during site visits or inspections.

Vision and Hearing Requirements

  • Strong visual acuity (with or without correction) to read labels, blueprints, and warning signs.
  • Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to recognize alarms, equipment noise, or verbal communication in noisy environments.

Environmental Exposure

  • Exposure to outdoor weather, loud machinery, electrical hazards, dust, and construction site elements.
  • Use of PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, etc.) is mandatory and may be worn for long periods.

Travel and Site Mobility

  • Regular travel between job sites may be required, with flexibility to be mobile throughout the workday.

Manual Dexterity

  • Precise hand-eye coordination for tasks such as lockout/tagout, inspecting wiring, or using electrical testing equipment.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay – Based on your experience and certifications
  • 100% Employer-Paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and Short-Term Disability
  • 401(k) with Employer Match – Because your future matters
  • A company culture that values your safety expertise and leadership
