Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire Reimbursement, Team Leads working remotely from your USA home-based office, with a start date prior to February 9, 2026.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Reimbursement, Team Lead (Medical Records Focus) (Claim Denial & Appeal Focus)

The Reimbursement Team Lead is a hands-on leader responsible for providing mentorship and support to their assigned team members and is highly involved in the daily operations of their team. The Team Lead will oversee a team, responsible for managing insurance claims, appeals, and payer communications for laboratory test services. This role ensures timely and accurate claim submission, compliance with payer policies and state regulations, and exceptional customer service for internal and external stakeholders. The Team Lead will also guide the review of medical records for documentation of medical necessity, direct the creation and submission of appeals, and oversee claim resolution processes to minimize denials and optimize reimbursement. The team leader is assigned to work tasks within their department and must meet or exceed productivity and quality standards. In addition to completing tasks, the team leader must provide a high level of support by answering questions and helping resolve issues in a timely manner.

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Associate's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in education or healthcare preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of health insurance billing experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role
• Knowledge in resolving laboratory or medical claim issues, submitting appeals, and reviewing medical records.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• 5 - 10% as needed for training and meetings

SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, exempt position, working remotely from your home office located in the USA.
