This hybrid role requires a minimum of three days in-office and involves collaborating with product managers, owners, and technical teams to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Responsibilities encompass all phases of the SDLC, including test planning, script development, execution (functional, integration, regression, performance, load, accessibility, and unit testing), defect tracking, reporting, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QA methodologies and possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product managers, owners, and technical teams to develop test strategies and plans.
- Design and develop manual test scripts, test cases, and scenarios.
- Plan and create test data for various test phases.
- Execute QA and testing activities for integration, functional, regression, unit, load, performance, and accessibility testing.
- Organize and plan testing for both front-end and back-end application components.
- Communicate test results and defect summaries through regular reports.
- Support the implementation of technical testing strategies, including integration, interface, and non-functional testing.
- Evaluate test results against acceptance criteria for sprint completion.
- Define and measure acceptance criteria for test cases.
- Record defects/issues with detailed descriptions and reproduction steps.
- Participate in requirement elicitation, sprint reviews, and walkthrough meetings.
- Ensure quality throughout the agile/iterative development lifecycle.
- Conduct post-release/implementation testing.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
- Create traceability matrices to align test outcomes with business requirements.
- Coordinate/facilitate defect review meetings with stakeholders.
- Provide testing/defect status updates in daily stand-ups and team meetings.
- Provide weekly task status reports.
- Ongoing knowledge sharing through meetings and working sessions.
- Transfer all design, development artifacts, and documentation to repositories.
- Facilitate dedicated knowledge transfer sessions.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- 5+ years in quality assurance, including COTS/SaaS solutions (preferably Oracle Siebel Public Sector).
- Experience with SharePoint, .NET, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, Java, Perl, and scripting for automation.
- Proficiency with various test tools and methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Iterative).
- Experience in all SDLC phases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in functional and non-functional testing.
- Skilled in test case/scenario design, development, and review based on business requirements.
- Experience with defect tracking and documentation.
- Experience in manual and automated script writing.
- Experience with UAT and sprint reviews.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and meeting facilitation skills.
- Ability to report progress and proactively escalate risks/issues with mitigations.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration with clients and technical teams.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience testing enterprise-level systems and understanding ministry QA standards/procedures.
- Knowledge of public sector applications, databases, and systems.
- Experience with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) requirements.
