SALARY/RANK: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required; background in business, marketing research, data analytics, information systems, library science, or a related field preferred. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an ability to interpret complex data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated discretion with confidential and sensitive information. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University's Mission, and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Prospect Researcher plays a critical role in the success of the University’s fundraising efforts by proactively identifying, evaluating, and qualifying potential donors. This individual works closely with the Institutional Advancement (IA) team to build and maintain a pipeline of prospective alumni, parents, friends, and organizations who have the capacity and potential inclination to support the institution. Conduct proactive research to identify new major and planned gift prospects through various data mining, screening, and analytical techniques. Analyze internal and external data sources to evaluate wealth indicators, philanthropic interests, giving history, and engagement levels. Collaborate with gift officers to assess prospect readiness and help prioritize outreach efforts. Generate detailed research profiles, summaries, and briefings. Provide qualification recommendations based on research findings and prospect models. Other responsibilities within the Institutional Advancement Office may be assigned as needed.
