Job Description

Our client, a well-established company in LA is looking for a Property Accountant to start right away!

• Position: Property Accountant - Hybrid role
• Office Location: Los Angeles, CA

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
• Record and process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Reconcile bank statements and assist with general ledger account reconciliations.
• Track rent payments, lease charges, and property operating expenses.
• Maintain organized and accurate records of financial transactions and supporting documents.
• Support budget preparation and assist in year-end audit activities.
• Communicate with property managers to resolve discrepancies or gather necessary information.
• Enter and manage data in property management accounting systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 1–2 years of accounting experience, including internships or part-time roles.
• Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a willingness to learn.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Exposure to real estate or property management accounting is a plus.
• Familiarity with systems like Yardi or MRI is helpful but not required.
