BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking an individual that wants to utilize their skills and expertise to accurately and timely process accounts payable, payroll, billings, and the collection of receivables as it pertains to specific construction process. This individual will contribute to the company's growth and profitability while building strong relationships with both the internal teams and external customers. This position is part of the Accounting department and reports to the Accounting Manager. This position is based out of our Indianapolis, IN, BMWC Headquarters but could also require some travel to job sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Project Accountant, you will:

• Route, enter, code, and process accounts payable invoices for overhead departments.
• Route job invoices for Indianapolis, Evansville and North Carolina divisions.
• Reconcile accounts payable statements, as necessary
• Respond to vendor payment inquiries.
• Process weekly check runs for multiple divisions.
• Process weekly expense reports.
• Review Accounts Payable aging reports periodically to resolve old AP and Credits.
• Work with procurement and project teams to resolve PO discrepancies.
• Process cost transfer adjustments through AP ledger
• Responsible for accurate and timely data entry, records management and reporting.
• Ensure data retention and information systems are updated and maintained appropriately within defined protocols and standards.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration desired
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in an accounting role
