Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant, you'll play a key role in managing the financial health of our construction projects. You'll work closely with project managers, operations, and finance teams to track budgets, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track project budgets, costs, and forecasts
• Prepare and review monthly job cost reports and variance analyses
• Manage billing, invoicing, and payment applications
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile accounts and maintain organized documentation
• Assist with subcontractor payments and lien waivers
• Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Maintain project-related financial records in ERP/accounting systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or project-based environments
• Strong understanding of job costing and project accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Procore, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
