Manual Tester Description

Responsibilities

• Drive quality control throughout the entire software product lifecycle
• Contribute to test planning by reviewing requirements, identifying issues, and rejecting insufficient or unclear specifications
• Serve as a vital connector between technical understanding and business knowledge
• Write and maintain comprehensive test cases
• Execute regression test plans systematically
• Generate and track error logs while providing feedback on test coverage
• Estimate testing task efforts robustly

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in designing, planning, and executing various tests including functional/non-functional, Smoke Test, regression, and integral tests
• Expertise in different quality strategies like Agile Testing, product vision, early testing, types of tests, regression criteria, and test planning
• Experience in writing test cases utilizing BDD methodology
• Proficiency with standard testing tools such as Jira and Zephyr
• Background in REST API testing
• Familiarity with SQL as well as non-relational databases
• Competence in using tools like Postman, Swagger, Soap UI
• Understanding of GitLab CI/CD and other pipeline technologies
• Experience in log analysis using tools such as Datadog
• Capability to carry out tests on cloud resources such as AWS Lambda, SQS, and others

Nice to have

• A degree in engineering, computer science, or a similar field
• Experience in the banking or fintech sector
• Knowledge of contract testing
• Understanding of programming languages including JavaScript, Java, Python
• Proficiency in performance testing using tools like JMeter, k6, or artillery
