Position Overview :
A Logistic Management Specialist oversees the movement of goods and services, coordinating transportation, storage, and distribution to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They handle logistics planning, procurement, and inventory management to meet supply chain demands and customer requirements. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in logistics management and a comprehensive skill set to effectively oversee logistical operations and ensure their successful execution.
Key Responsibilities :
· Review assigned tasks and schedules, requisition material, and establish delivery sequences based on priorities.
· Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments at Lincoln Place and Springfield Warehouse.
· Ensure alignment with production, shipping schedules, assigned tasks, or priorities set by the contract program supervisor.
Administrative Functions :
· Train Material Handling Laborers and oversee services at designated locations.
· Coordinate with requesting offices for material repair, delivery, or assembly to fulfill assigned tasks.
· Inspect delivered materials to ensure compliance with required specifications.
· Monitor, review, and assign tasks submitted to the contractor tasking email box, as well as review assigned tasks and schedules.
Operational Oversight:
· Provide logistical support, including coordinating shipments, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely completion of tasks adhering to required deadlines.
· Operate Government-owned vehicles as needed and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
· Address promptly any issues or deviations from expected operations.
· Identify technical needs and communicate effectively with personnel to ensure the timely execution of tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
· High School diploma or equivalent.
· More than five years of direct experience in logistics management.
· Strong communication, leadership, critical-thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Minimum of two years specialized experience using Windows Operating System and word processing software.
· Physical ability to lift boxes weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Required Skills:
· Fluent in English with thorough training in contract requirements.
· Proficiency in management-related skills and ability to multitask effectively.
Clearance Requirement:
This position requires a Top-Secret level security clearance.
Salary Range: 75k-85k.
