We are currently seeking a Locums Physician Assistant with strong urgent care or emergency medicine experience to join a fast-paced and supportive team in the Fayetteville, West Virginia area. This position provides coverage at a reputable Urgent Care clinic, with potential travel to nearby locations (within 30 miles). Candidates must be confident working independently and capable of treating patients of all ages.
Position Highlights:
Schedule:8 AM – 8 PM, Monday through Sunday
Minimum Shift Requirement:
At least 3 shifts/month consistently to be considered
Preference for Part-time (6+ shifts/month) or Full-time (12+ shifts/month)
Independent Work:No onsite supervision; provider must be comfortable working independently
Patient Scope:
All ages – pediatrics to geriatrics
Typical urgent care cases including:
Cold/flu symptoms, minor rashes, sprains, lacerations, abrasions, and burns
Minor orthopedic procedures (e.g., splinting)
Suturing, wound care, and I&Ds
X-rays, EKGs, drawing blood
High-acuity cases will be referred to a local ER
Requirements:
Certification:Physician Assistant with active NCCPA certification
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of urgent careexperience, or
1 year of emergency medicineexperience
License:Active West Virginia license
Other: Must be comfortable seeing all age groups
Must indicate comfort level with the following on submission:
Suturing/Wound Care/I&Ds
Splinting
X-Rays/EKGs
Drawing Blood/IVs
Working Independently
Pediatrics
