Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse – Travel Position Location: Warwick, RI Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Nights Pay: $2,926/week Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Warwick, RI. The L&D Nurse will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting patients and families during labor and delivery in a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and assess patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Administer medications and treatments, including IV therapies, epidural assistance, and induction agents.
Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies.
Educate and support patients and families regarding labor progress, procedures, and newborn care.
Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe and effective care.
Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.

Qualifications:

Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Rhode Island (or compact license).
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support; AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring preferred.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient care skills.
Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure obstetric situations.
