**Work Shift:** Day Shift **Time Type:** Part time **Department:** CC014215 Interventional Radiology **Summary:** Day Shift, Various Times Developing skills to assist Radiologist or Radiology Assistant with invasive and non-invasive procedures in the Interventional Radiology (IR) lab. Able to share call duties and stay late as needed. **Additional Information:** **Required Education:** Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college program or technical school or nursing diploma **Recommended Education:** Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university **Required Work Experience:** Direct - No experience required **Recommended Work Experience:** Technologist - 1 year Licensed Radiology Technologist in a hospital setting **Required Certifications:** Basic Life Support CPR for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) - American Heart Association, R.T.(R) - American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT), Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) - Arkansas Department of Health - Arkansas Department of Health **Recommended Certifications:** **Description** 1. Developing skills to assist Interventional Radiologist or Radiology Assistant during procedure 2. Developing knowledge about utilization of all equipment including emergency equipment, and supplies. 3. Ensures correct patient, diagnosis, and exam. Developing knowledge of correct & acceptable radiographic, positioning, and scrub techniques. 4. Developing ability to explain procedures to patients and families in an effective manner. 5. Developing knowledge of all emergency equipment/supplies. 6. Utilizes proper immobilization devices to control patient movement. 7. Raises concerns related to patient care, patient safety or patient satisfaction to Lead or Supervisor. 8. Maintains equipment and requests service as needed. 9. Performs other duties as assigned.
