*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD   

*** Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site at least 2 days a week. 

Position Description

• ​Manage and optimize the Agility or Jira tool infrastructure as Admin.
• Export data from Agility or Jira to Power apps.
• Build Agility or Jira reports.
• Conduct Agility or Jira tool upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure administrative support is provided.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead initiatives to integrate AI-driven solutions for enhanced system efficiency.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance on best practices.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems and processes.
• Participate in agile project management to support IT infrastructure projects.
• Continuously research and adopt emerging technologies to improve system operations.

 Key Required Skills  

Strong knowledge as Agility or Jira Admin, Exporting data from Agility or Jira to Power apps, and Microsoft PowerApps development expertise

Detailed Skills Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience.
• 8+ years of experience
• Combined experience using: Agility or Jira as Admin, PowerApps and SharePoint development.
• 5+ years of experience on an Agile development team
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. 

Required Experience

Candidate must have proficiency in Jira, and Power Apps, and be able to articulate practical experience with these tools. Must have depth in agile project management and related workflows.

• Strong experience as Agility or Jira tool admin.
• Strong expertise with exporting data from Agility or Jira to Power apps.
• Experience building Agility or Jira reports.
• Experience with Agility or Jira tool upgrades.
• Strong experience as PowerApps developer.
• Experience with JavaScript.
• Effective verbal and written skills
• Java Language and API Experience 

Desired Experience

• Experience with modern development software, tools, and methodologies; Jenkins, Splunk, Git/BitBucket, Jira/VersionOne, Nexus, Maven, Jenkins, OpenShift, XML/XSLT, VisualVM/Eclipse Profiler (Java performance monitoring tool), Amazon Web Services (S3), BDD (Cucumber or similar)
• Experience working on Agile projects and understanding Agile terminology.
• Experience with Linux environments.
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Agile certifications preferred

Education

• ​Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
