Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Superintendent to oversee heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of heavy civil construction processes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.
• Utilize project management software such as Leica Geo Systems.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to track progress and allocate resources effectively.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to project specifications.
• Prepare construction estimates and manage budgets through effective construction estimating practices and use of Heavy Bid and Blue Beam
• Oversee the use of tools such as Ohmmeters for quality control in electrical installations.
• Facilitate communication between team members, clients, and upper management regarding project status and any issues that arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or in a similar role within the heavy civil construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera; experience with Bluebeam, and Heavy Bid is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Familiarity with pipeline construction is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
