Job Description

Summary

Manage the creation, review, approval, and final implementation of all domestic, international, foodservice, and retail packaging graphics to produce timely and accurate packaging for marketing, sales, production, and distribution. Packaging components include all primary and secondary packaging: corrugated, poly and polykraft flexible packaging, cartons, tubs, lids, and labels.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage printed packaging specifications within PDM software, ensuring document control, version control, and accuracy.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring attention to detail and project timelines are met.
• Coordinate with prepress suppliers, printers, and customers on projects, timelines, specifications, and graphic layouts. Ensure that the results meet the needs of marketing, operations, and scheduling in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team including packaging engineering, regulatory, marketing, sales, purchasing, external pre-press partners, and printers.
• Recommend alternatives where appropriate and develop contingency plans to meet objective. 
• Critical Thinking;  Analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Attention to Detail;  Ensure accuracy and precision in all tasks and deliverables.
• Communication;  Convey information clearly and effectively(verbally & written) to diverse audiences.
• Technical Writing/Process Oriented;  Create comprehensive and user-friendly technical documentation. 

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

(not required, but preferred) 

Relevant Experience

1-2 years related experience and/or training

Other Information

• Experience with consumer packaged goods, preferably food.
• Experience with version control / document management systems / packaging specification systems.
• Strong organization skills.
• Ability to manage heavy project load in a fast paced environment.
• Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator.
• Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.
