This job is every other Saturday selling at the Portland PSU Farmers Market (on alternating Saturdays). The job goes year round and the markets take no Saturdays off except for Christmas. The job begins and ends at our bakery in Oregon City.
As a rep you represent Small Baking Co. and sell our pastries at a very busy farmer s market. You are responsible for transporting all market gear & desserts in your vehicle, setting up and breaking down, handling cash and credit card transactions, telling our story, charming visitors and local shoppers, and ensuring each customer has a positive experience. A market day starts at 6:15am at the bakery and ends about 3:30pm at the bakery (9 10 hours).
Begin at our Oregon City Bakery at 6:15am. Then drive to the Portland PSU Farmers Market. The PSU market runs from 8:30am-2pm. End at the bakery to unload between 3:15-3:45pm.
Starting wage is $19/hour + tips (historically anywhere between $20-$60+ per day). In addition, we offer a market trade of $16 worth of product each market, a 50% employee discount on baked goods, and mileage reimbursement for all markets outside of Oregon City. We offer all employees yearly raises.
