Under general supervision from the Education Administrator I of the Language Policy and Leadership Office, and general direction from the Director of the Multilingual Support Division, and working cooperatively with program offices and supervisors throughout the California Department of Education, the Education Programs Consultant works to support the implementation efforts, technical assistance, and program monitoring for California newcomer programs, per Assembly Bill 714.
Travel will be required to support the program coordination and technical assistance to the field, frequency dependent on office needs.
