Job Description

The Role

Our Post Production team is looking to add a multitalented role to our roster. We’re seeking someone who has a passion for photography and post production, and the skills to perform several supporting tasks to the core post production workflow. As a high volume studio, we’re producing several projects concurrently, and we’re seeking someone with a wide range of skills who can fill in gaps and take care of various production issues as they arise, without having to spin off tasks to specialists. This Post Production generalist role would report directly to the Post Production Manager, and would have responsibilities rooted in DAM and archiving skills, with the supporting photo and video editing knowledge to solve common issues.

Role Objectives

  • Manage photo and video assets independently and confidently to ensure correct file management, from naming and specifications through distribution and archiving.
  • Ensure that all deliverables have gone through quality control measures, match the technical specs, match our retouch spec, and maintain the proper layer structure.
  • Work within Creative Force, our workflow management system, to ensure assets are staged correctly for others to complete the core editing work.
  • Problem-solve basic retouching issues that arise during the final delivery preparation phase, from file type and scaling discrepancies, background and shadow problems that arise during scripting and automation, and process troubleshooting.
  • Drive the progress, growth and maturity of our asset management practices.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Post Production/digital asset management field
  • Past experience working inside of project management suites and a sound understanding of their relationship to DAM
  • Fluent in file naming and archival best practices and enforcement
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • High level of organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience working with Ecommerce photography and video, and an understanding of target aesthetics.
  • Clear understanding of Photoshop basics and best practices with ability to retouch and edit images. Experience with complex actions and scripting is very beneficial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple teams and regions
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities
  • Team player with a positive attitude who can work independently, yet collaborate and take feedback from other team members
  • Eagerness to learn and thrive in a startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic video editing skills such as rotoscoping and color correction
  • Rudimentary coding experience is not required, but appreciated (Python)

Compensation

  • Annual salary compensation of $70,000 – $80,000

Those interested and meet the above conditions, please send your application and contact details to [email protected] and include subject line “Post Production Application”.
