Job Opening: Counselor for Teen Recovery Center

Location: Calabasas/Agoura Hills, CA

Shifts Open: 
Weekdays and weekend
Swing shift: 4:00 PM-midnight 

Must be able to attend mandatory Team meetings, either on:
Mondays 10am-12pm (Agoura Hills), or
​Wednesdays 10am-12pm (Calabasas)

Duties:

• Oversee teenagers in their daily therapeutic activities.
• Participate in group therapy activities.
• Act as a mentor for kids struggling with mental health and/or addiction issues while maintaining strong boundaries.
• Write notes in Electronic Medical Records.

Requirements:

• Residential treatment experience preferred, psychology students and other backgrounds also considered.
• Experience working with kids and/or teens (for example as a tutor, sports coach, at a school, etc.).
• Experience working with substance abuse/ mental illness desired.
• Basic computer and writing skills.
• Able to pass a strict background check from the DOJ.
• 21 years old or over.
• Must have a car/driver's license. 
• Must be vaccinated for Covid. 

Compensation:

$18-$21 based on years of experience at an RTC
($18-$19 entry level, less than 1 year)
($19-$20 for 1 year plus)
($21-$22 for 2 years plus)
​(4 shifts and up per week comes with benefits)
