**Job Description** **$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible full-time and part-time new employees joining UW Medicine** **Harborview Medical Center - Emergency Department** has an outstanding job opportunity for a **CNA / Patient Care Technician** position. **WORK SCHEDULE** + 90% FTE (36 hours per week) + Night Shift **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** + Assist the medical and nursing staff by performing delegated tasks that involve direct patient care + Transportation of patients, supplies, and specimens + Ordering and stocking of supplies + Maintain / set up of special equipment + Participate in unit and selected departmental activities to promote effective problem solving and communication + This position provides opportunities to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment **REQUIREMENTS** + Minimum of 1-year experience as ED Tech or CNA in an Inpatient Hospital Acute Care or ICU settings + High School graduation AND six months experience involving customer service in a health care setting OR six months experience involving direct patient care OR equivalent education/experience + Must have a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant Certification (NAC) with WA State **(Please include your Washington State NAC license on your resume.)** + Valid American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers upon hire **ABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTER** As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
