We are HōM Pro, One of the Faster Growing Home Services Providers in New York Headquartered in the World Trade Center. We specialize in Cleaning/Maintenance (Cleaning, Pet Services, Landscaping)

Home Improvement (Remodeling, Construction), and of course Energy Efficiency (Solar, SmartHome) Today we are speaking to you about our Cleaning Division. What we’ve done due to our rapid growth is start an Entry Level Management Training Program to meet this expansion. Currently we are looking for 5-7 Managers here in New York then growing out to 10 Cities next year which will all be paid for and licensed by HōM Pro. So basically creating a solid team + and business mindsets is what we are looking for. As part of our 18 month training period, we are looking for the most motivated candidates who can be consistent, reliable, learn our system and deliver great results. The position of Cleaner/Maid/Janitor involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment. This role typically includes responsibilities such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting various areas. The Cleaner/Maid/Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  2. Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and hazardous materials in designated containers, following proper waste management protocols.
  3. Restroom Maintenance: Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels as needed.
  4. Floor Care: Clean, mop, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment. This may involve operating floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other floor maintenance machinery.
  5. Window and Glass Cleaning: Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  6. Maintenance of Common Areas: Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairways, and elevators by regularly removing dirt, debris, and other obstructions.
  7. Furniture and Fixture Cleaning: Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, and other equipment using suitable cleaning materials.
  8. Stock and Inventory Management: Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and inventory levels. Report shortages or damaged items to the supervisor.
  9. Compliance with Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others. Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  10. Reporting and Communication: Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job-related tasks and updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial, or related roles is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and practices related to cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
