Overview
A prestigious public accounting firm in Bergen County is seeking a Full-Charge Bookkeeper with PUBLIC ACCOUNTING FIRM EXPERIENCE. The ideal candidate will assist with TAX PREPARATION AND CORPORATE BOOKS OR THE FIRM'S BOOKS and manage day-to-day bookkeeping for clients.
Responsibilities:
Handle full-charge bookkeeping functions for multiple clients.
Prepare and assist with individual and small business tax returns.
Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger reconciliation.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
Communicate with clients regarding financial data and record-keeping.
Collaborate with firm staff to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Strong bookkeeping experience, including general ledger and reconciliations.
Public accounting firm experience required.
Experience with tax return preparation required.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
CLIENT WILL NOT CONSIDER SOMEONE WITHOUT TAX EXPERIENCE.
Compensation
$60,000 - $75,000 depending on experience MORE FOR HIGHLY CAPABLE PERSON
