Nonprofit animal protection organization Lady Freethinker seeks a board member to help further our mission of achieving a compassionate world for all species. Time commitment is several hours per month, including quarterly board meetings. Duties include advising on organizational initiatives and programs as well as development and fiscal responsibility. Applicants with legal, marketing, or journalism/PR experience are welcome.
This is a volunteer position.
Ideal candidates are passionate about animal advocacy and knowledgeable about issues affecting animals today.

Lady Freethinker (LFT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing and stopping abuse of animals, humans and the planet. We publish news articles and petitions to help end cruelty and promote humane treatment of all species. Our undercover investigations expose hidden cruelty that would otherwise go unnoticed, allowing the public to take action and make informed choices to help save lives.
We go beyond publishing as well, and provide direct aid to animals in desperate situations — such as those rescued from the cruel dog and cat meat trade.
With over a million site visits per month, we educate and inform a wide audience, and provide a platform for the public to speak out for a more compassionate world.
