We are seeking a skilled AWS   Cloud Architect to drive our client's cloud transformation initiatives. This role involves implementing and managing cloud solutions with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS), while experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a significant advantage. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and managing cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and efficient operations across a wide range of scientific and scholarly publications, national conferences, and other services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud solutions in AWS, with GCP experience as an advantage.
• Lead the provisioning and automation of cloud services, ensuring scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with software and AI engineering teams to support CI/CD processes, document requirements, and mentor junior team members.
• Develop and manage dev, test, and production environments, ensuring robust software configuration management.
• Architect and implement cloud-agnostic solutions using Kubernetes and related technologies.
• Deploy and manage AWS EKS clusters, handling scaling, networking, and security configurations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and containerization strategies.
• Utilize Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate cloud infrastructure management.
• Work with serverless computing frameworks on AWS to optimize application scalability and efficiency.
• Manage IAM roles, organizational units, and access policies to ensure a cost-effective and secure cloud environment.
• Integrate legacy workflows using ArgoCD, Airflow, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Bamboo pipelines.
• Serve as a technical owner for independent software products, liaising with key stakeholders.
• Present cloud solutions and architectural designs to technical and business stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud and AI technologies to enhance solutions and advise on best practices.
• Mentor cloud engineers and develop a strong team for cloud operations.
• Assist in the roadmap development for DevOps and DevSecOps implementation, including secret management and security enhancements.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in application development, solution architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in AWS , including services such as EKS, IAM, Lambda, S3, EC2, and VPC.
• Experience with Kubernetes , including cluster management, scaling, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Bamboo.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of serverless computing frameworks and microservices architecture.
• Strong experience in cloud security best practices , IAM roles, and policy management.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or similar languages .
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating legacy workflows with modern cloud technologies.
• AWS Solutions Architect Professional and Kubernetes certification are a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Location & Compensation

• Candidates based in the U.S. (preferably East Coast) are preferred.
• Will collaborate extensively with teams across the UK and India.
