The Associate Director on the Class Programs & Reunion Campaigns (CPRC) team supports the mission of Georgetown University by fostering lifelong engagement between alumni and Georgetown and by increasing philanthropic support for the university's future. The CPRC team works with over 800 alumni volunteers to increase class-based engagement and giving through peer-to-peer outreach. CPRC establishes class fundraising goals, recruits and develops volunteers, identifies potential donors, hosts world-class signature events (Homecoming Weekend and Reunion Weekend), engages alumni and students in fundraising for Georgetown, and partners with development colleagues to assist with gift solicitations when appropriate.

The Associate Director manages class engagement and giving for four undergraduate alumni classes in the GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) young alumni segment. This position will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy to maximize engagement and giving of GOLD alumni in the years leading up to and immediately following their 10th Reunion milestone. He/she also trains volunteers on peer-to-peer fundraising strategies and plans certain Homecoming Weekend, Reunion Weekend, and GOLD Alumni signature event programs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manage volunteers for four undergraduate alumni classes in the GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) young alumni segment..
  • Develop external fundraising and engagement goals for all classes managed.
  • Tailor and implement engagement and solicitation strategies for each class.
  • Train volunteers on peer-to-peer fundraising strategies and tools.
  • Manage specific programs and aspects of Homecoming Weekend, Reunion Weekend, and GOLD Alumni signature event programs.




Work Interactions


Reporting to the Director, Class Programs and Reunion Campaigns, the Associate Director is an integral part of the CPRC team.



Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in a development/fundraising environment and/or volunteer management role




Desired Skills and Attributes

  • Experience working with young alumni giving and engagement programs, or a related area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sensitive, personable, and experienced in customer relations skills
  • Experience working with volunteers and in alumni relations a plus
  • Extremely well organized and detail oriented, with ability to successfully handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, and consistently meet all deadlines and goals
  • Ability to initiate and complete projects and provide alumni support with little supervision, exercising good judgment
  • Ability to assimilate data, exercise sound judgment and discretion, and work independently
  • Willingness to assume responsibility for all aspects of specific programs ranging from overall oversight and management to detailed implementation and execution
  • Ability to analyze, resolve and explain complex issues and data
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise diplomacy, judgment and tact; trustworthiness in handling confidential matters
  • Accuracy in materials preparation, dependability, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Event management knowledge a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment

Pay Range:


The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$47,586.00 - $87,558.13


Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
