Job Description

We’re looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you’ll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers’ stations. You’ll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You’ll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed. You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent customer service skills, who enjoys working as part of a team and is eager to learn food service. Apply if this sounds like a good fit for you! Responsibilities:

• Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table
• Responsible for ensuring kitchen and server stations are kept fully stocked with condiments and all necessary items
• Show customers to their tables, address any requests from customers, and respond to them in a timely manner
• Fill water glasses, bring beverages, or refill customers’ glasses, and remember to refill condiments and bring them to the table
• Clear dirty dishes from tables, clean tables, and prepare for the next guests by resetting tables with clean silverware and napkins

Qualifications:

• Experience working in the food services or QSR industry is preferred
• Know the basics of how to handle food items and kitchen equipment
• Willing to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays, plus pick up extra shifts if necessary
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
• Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing
