Job Description

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support exciting construction projects across New York City. Key Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager in all project phases, from pre-construction to closeout Assist in developing detailed estimates and performing document take-offs Maintain and update subcontractor databases Log, coordinate, and distribute subcontractor requisitions Generate bid clarifications and RFIs using company software Help review subcontractor trade durations and assist in project schedule preparation Manage submittals, procurement, and shop drawing reviews Assemble bid documents and trade spreadsheets; prepare scopes of work Review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy Participate in site walkthroughs and help ensure project requirements are met Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture 3–5 years of construction experience preferred Strong ability to read and interpret drawings/specs Experience with NYCHA and tenant-in-place renovations is a plus Familiarity with NYC affordable housing and high-rise construction is highly desirable Strong communication, coordination, and time-management skills Field management or relevant internships a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and other project management tools a plus Must be able to safely navigate active construction sites (including stairs, ladders, and uneven surfaces in all weather conditions)
