What You'll Do as an Appliance Service Technician:

  • Determine material or replacement needs and apply logical methods for repair.
  • Perform in-home diagnostics and repairs of electric and gas appliances.
  • Coordinate with internal support to order and track repair parts while keeping customers updated on repair status.
  • Address customer concerns and educate them about the products they purchased.
  • Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and parts used for proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Travel within a 45-minute radius of Brownstown.
  • Work full-time, typically 6:30/7:00 am-4:00/5:00 pm, with some start and end time flexibility.

Our Ideal Appliance Service Technician:

  • Experienced: Previous technician experience is preferred, but we will train motivated candidates. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to follow manuals, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer instructions.
  • Problem-solver: Able to carefully check appliances, figure out the cause of problems, and make accurate, reliable repairs while keeping records up to date.
  • Clear Communicator: Explains repair needs in plain language, documents service details clearly, and treats every customer respectfully and patiently.
  • Team-oriented: Works well with the team but can take responsibility for completing jobs independently.
  • Computer Skills: Comfortable using basic computer programs and able to identify wire colors and parts of electronic systems.
  • Active: Can lift up to 75 lbs. and bend, kneel, or crouch to complete repairs.
