Job Description
Position Summary:
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting tasks. This includes maintaining financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
+ Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
+ Prepare and post journal entries
+ Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
+ Maintain and update financial records and documentation
+ Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
+ Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records
+ Assist with payroll processing and related journal entries (if applicable)
+ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
EQualifications:
Education & Experience:
+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
+ 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping
+ Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
